TAKE ACTION NEW YORK
Utility companies and municipalities in NY have been replacing safe analog utility meters with electronic meters (also known as "smart", AMR, ERT, AMI, PLC, etc). These meters are proving to be unsafe, expensive and not "green."
If it’s not truly analog, it’s not OK. Don’t let a utility tell you otherwise.
There are also “stealth” or “Trojan” meters that appear to have an analog face, but behind that is a transmitting electronic meter. These are being reported where Con Edison is the utility.
In fact, energy intensive electronic meters expose the public and the environment to non-stop pulsed radio frequency and electrical radiation. This is causing some people to become very ill with heart problems/palpitations, neurological problems, insomnia, ringing in the ears, anxiety, nausea, dizziness, tingling in extremities, memory loss and more.
